We take a big topic. We write down the roles; these are the dots. We connect the dots with string. The shorter the string the close power distance between the roles. We the play with the whole by moving the dots, lengthen or shorten the strings, and see if a big idea unfolds

About the event

Keeping our eye in on the whole

When we focus on controlling each part, we lose sight of the whole. Yet the whole is nuanced, intricate layers of relational connections that constantly flow within and around us. These shifting patterns will undo what is tightly controlled. Keeping our attention on the whole brings steadiness. With our eye on the whole, we maintain ownership of our feelings and perceptions of being in the "here and now". We maintain our ability to integrate thoughts, feelings, and actions. We maintain consciousness of sensations, feelings, and thoughts as they unfold. We keep seeing ourselves and others as integrated wholes (body, mind, emotions) within our environment. We keep ownership of our own choices and experiences. We maintain attention to posture, breathing, and nonverbal cues to connect to the whole.  We keep our eye in on patterns of the present flow.
